Antique, Austro Hungarian, Floral, Brass, Glass, Faux Marcasite, Enameled Frame, Linen Handbag. Austro Hungarian enameled handle. The patterned heavy linen material is neutral oriented with a floral motif of subdued colors of pink roses and flowers and green vines and leaves over a darker green background. This lovely bouquet pattern blends nicely with the enameled brass handle that exhibits colors of red, light green, green, blue, yellow and pink. Mixed in with the enamel are tiny faux marcasites. The ormolu brass clasp is topped with a black glass gumdrop cab. The purse measures 7 inches x 6 1/2 inches. The brass chain part of the handle appears to be a slightly newer addition and measures 16 inches in total length. The clasp snaps securely.

Condition: the enamel is in very good condition commensurate with age. The interior fabric is also in nice antique condition, no stains. There are five tiny faux marcasites missing on the brass handle. The overall appearance is still quite good.
