Item Description: Large 19th Century Porcelain Meissen figural group representing the fine arts, 'ARS'.
'Modeled as a woman seated with a lyre, her classically draped companion standing and holding a paintbrush, a mallet, bas relief portrait and architectural drawing at his feet, on a square base molded with laurel and entitled ARS'.
Blue crossed swords mark for Meissen, incised model no. R 199. Includes the original painter's palette in hand. Similar example sold at Christie's April 2015, but without the brush or pallet.
Approx. Measurements: Measures 19" tall and 11" wide.
Condition: Excellent condition, with the original pallet and brush.
