A fine quality and lovely pair of Late Georgian or Regency (1800-1825) cut crystal girandoles. These are rare survivors from more than two hundred years ago. They were necessary when candlelight needed to be amplified by sparkling crystal. The glass is extremely clear although a touch of gray often found in antique glass is apparent. The pillar and thumbprint cutting is superb. The rose petal cut bases are delightful.
