This set of T. G. Hawkes covered sugar bowl and creamer are the most beautiful I've seen. Held in they light, they are jewel-like. The design and cutting are amazing. The shapes bring to mind Greek oil lamps. The mark shown (see photo) is the first one Hawkes etched into its glass, the mark first introduced in 1902. These extraordinary pieces were probably cut quite near that time. Excellent addition to any glass collection.
