A set of two early French copper, patinated copper and inlaid silver snuff boxes. The silver is inlaid on the tops and a band around the waist. The boxes are in two sizes. The langer is a table box the smaller is for personal use. There is a cockerel stamp on the bottom of each which may relate to the silver content.
Condition: Very good for age and use. A slight, shallow indentation at the base of the larger piece.
Dimensions: Larger 2 inches high x 2 1/4 inches wide x 1 1/4 inches deep. Smaller 1 3/4 inches high x 2 1/4 inches x 1 inch deep.
