1920s – 30s English garment shop wood boxes / crates that once held men’s undergarments from J.G. Morgan, The Clothing Mart of Cardigan. Pair of strong garment storage and mailing boxes covered in nice ink-blue colored canvas cloth and lined with white paper on the inside (Bennett Brothers of Bristol Stationers). Each is box labeled with an assortment of handwritten labels for contents (Men’s Polo Fronts and Handkerchiefs) and includes a War Economy Label and remnants of a postage stamp. A very good, useful pair of storage boxes for stationary in sound condition despite the minor crack in one lid corner. Minor tattered condition of canvas. No Restoration. Bases: 9 5/8” x 15 ½”. Lids 10 ¼” x 16 ¼”.
