Antique English pancheon, c.1900: a LARGE utilitarian earthenware bowl, used for mixing or breadmaking, with a yellow-slipped interior and unglazed exterior. This hand-thrown red-earthenware bowl is a traditional example of English country pottery and is of simple rustic form with a broad rounded rim, and an intensely rich yellow-colored glaze that contrasts to the unglazed exterior. Condition is excellent with only minor wear. No cracks. No restoration.
