French 19th century stemmed wirework candleholder. Superbly detailed wirework with blue wool tassels encased in conical wire hanging from the sconce, and a domed footed base with curlicue feet. The sconce was intended to hold a tapered candle, but because of its stepped form, it can accommodate a tealight candle. Excellent, well-preserved example with normal wear. No repairs.
Height is 8 ¼”. Base diameter is 4 ¼”.
