Mid-to-late 19th century French blown-glass apothecary jar with a pleasing irregular form. The jar has a rolled down top rim, and a rough pontil scar at the base. The lid has an applied solid knop finial, sliced and polished at the tip. There are visible striations, inclusions and aerations in the glass. A couple of minor cloud bands are present but not particularly noticeable. Condition is excellent with good clarity.
Size: 8 ¾” high to the lid knop. Diameter is 4”.
