19th century Irish footed spongeware bowl with purple sponged decoration consisting of cloverleaf design stamped in four places around the outside of the bowl, and once on the inside base. A diamond chain pattern encircles the rim exterior. Impressed pottery mark (clover?) is present underneath. Overall condition is very good to excellent for spongeware pottery. There is all over fine crazing and, light-colored discoloration, as shown. Very minor areas of rubbed glaze along the rim and a small flake in the foot rim.
