PAIR of 19th century French Normandy blown-glass cider carafes. A handsome pair of stoppered bistro carafes of similar size that are beautifully simple and minimalist in their design. Both have an applied glass neck ring, and ground glass mushroom-shaped stoppers. There are tiny air bubbles and striations in the glass. One has a polished pontil scar on the base, and both come in very good antique condition with good clarity. PLEASE NOTE: These come in clean and usable condition, BUT as is often the case, they are not in pristine condition -there is are numerous fine scratches, particularly in the body of one, from normal wear.
