Late 19th century French enamel tisane – a small tea or coffee press comprising a cup and lidded filter used for either the preparation of herbal tea infusions, or single servings of espresso coffee. It retains its component parts including the plunger, and comes in nicely preserved condition with minor enamel loss. Decorated in blue / lilac and gilded bands on a white enamel ground. There are slight color inconsistencies in the banding due to production flaws and fading over time.
Size: Cup is 2 ¾” high. Filter is 2 ¼” high. Maximum height is 6 ¼” to lid finial.
