German amber glass apothecary jar from the early 1900s, with a decorative, white enameled label for Amylum (Starch). Both the lettering and the outline around the enameled label is a charcoal blue / black -rather than solid black. It once held powdered contents and has a wide neck. The jar is tall and nicely proportioned, with an oval-shaped base with arched indentations on two sides. The raised stopper is multi-faceted -as are the jar’s shoulders. It comes in excellent and clean condition with very minor wear.
Size: Base: 3 ½” x 4 ½”. Height: 10 ¼”.
