English Lewis’s department store display for gent’s detachable fold down, starched collars on a retractable stand, c.1900. Collars are graduated in size (15" to 16"), and varied in shape. They’re labeled “Standex” on the inside, and were Lewis’s own line of merchandise. Each collar is mounted on the stand by threading through an opening at the top of the collar, and each can be rotated around to maximize visual impact! This fashion advertising example, is not only a fun and appealing display piece, but it is also a noteworthy period prop piece.
Condition: Collars are a little misshapen due to storage. There is some yellowing in a few areas, which is inevitable, but overall condition is very good and acceptable.
Stand measures 20 ½” to 25 ½”.
