English 1920 -30s garden watering can. Constructed from galvanized metal, it is traditional in its design with a back and cross handle. It retains much of its original green paint and is fitted with a detachable oval brass rose. Though this example is not a Haws watering can, it takes on a Haws design. Many manufacturers at the time copied the Haws pattern, and watering cans such as this one, were marketed as a “Haws Pattern” watering can. The brass rose is however a Haws “No 2 & 3” size rose.
The can is an excellent quality example -one that has beautifully weathered over time and has developed a rich patina. It comes in functional condition with normal wear including minor dents to the body and rose. No repairs.
Size: Maximum length is 34”. Height is 7 ½”. Diameter is 7 ¼”.
