Late 19th century French milk glass horticultural / gardener’s markers for unusual apple and pear tree varieties, and a Dutch pottery marker for a hazelnut. There are four French oval-shaped hanging discs with ornate, transfer-printed green lettering. The Dutch pottery marker has black transfer-printed lettering. The collection of 5 different labels comprises: Alpi Etoile, Rambourg D’Hiver, Cumberland, Beurre Dumont, and the Dutch marker for Witte Hazelnoot. All markers come in excellent, original condition with very minor wear. No restoration.
Size: Each French marker measures 2 ½” x 2”. The Dutch marker measures 2” x 1 ¾”.
