French 19th century leg brace. A curious 2-part object, cast from papier mache and lacquered, with perforations allowing for aeration and access to itchy skin. Trimmed in stitched brown leather with brass lace-up hooks. The insides are lined in cloth. Fabulous when casually displayed just lying about, hung on a wall, or even suspended. Excellent antique condition.
