C.1930s vintage English “Pattissons Patent Golf Course Requisites” Bin. Heavy-duty industrial strength, galvanized steel golf course “4” “93yds” marker box with interesting trapezoidal form, very nicely weathered original paint, and plenty of decorative appeal. The bin was also used to mark the “8” “329yds”, and traces of this is marking is faintly evident on the opposite side, as shown. The company is a major manufacturer of golf course requisites and their name appears on a Deco-style brass label placed onto one side of the bin. A fabulous collectors piece that can also be repurposed.
Condition: Excellent, strong and sturdy. Original condition with normal wear consistent with the function and the nature of the material used. Cleaned and waxed to preserve the painted surface.
Size: Base is 13” x 13”. Top is 7” x 7”. Depth is 8 ½”.
