PAIR of 19th century French blown glass apothecary storage jars, 1870. Each has an irregular, organic form, with the larger of the two, slightly lop-sided. Each has a rolled down top rim and visible striations. There is a rough pontil scar of the base of the smaller jar, and a polished scar on the larger jar.
Condition: Clean, excellent and usable condition. No chips. Very thin and light calcification ring present inside the smaller jar.
Sizes: Smaller jar measures 8 ¾” high to the lid finial, 4” in diameter and 6 ½” deep. Larger jar measures 9 ½” high to the lid finial, 5” in diameter and 8” deep.
