Splendid pair of vintage English Gentleman’s leather and canvas High Brogues, c.1910 - 20s. A wonderful pair of post Edwardian-era, fisherman’s waders that are beautifully preserved -the thick leather polished and brought back to life. The pair's sculptural qualities are visually pleasing– the sagging canvas is in sharp contrast to the firm steel-toed leather caps, the metal hobs, and the firm fitted metal plate inside the soles. These shoes have broad appeal – of interest to not only the collector of vintage shoes and sporting goods, but also to the general decorator. They are a noteworthy display piece in their own right.
