Mid-19th century French tinned copper banner weathervane retaining original paint, surface verdigris and a fabulous weathered patina. Cut-out bannerette, with a full-bodied scrolling tail with fleur de lis terminal, and a graceful, fluid form that suggests movement. Mounted on a contemporary cast iron stand.
Condition: Good antique condition with acceptable wear. No restoration.
