Antique Scottish stoneware Plynine Household Ammonia bottle, c.1900-10. The front advertises in transfer-printed lettering directions on obtaining “wonderful results” when used as a cleaning agent, and an “invigorating effect” when used in bath water. The bottle retains its original stoneware screwcap lid.
Condition: Original found condition. No restoration. The bottle is likely to have been salvaged / dug-out, as judged by the considerable rust stains on the back. The extent of discoloration would normally be considered a detraction, but in this case, given the original contents of the bottle, it lends additional character to the bottle. A perfect Halloween prop.
Otherwise, remarkably minor wear!
Size:11 ½” high.
