Antique glass jar: A shop-counter display for sweets, English c.1910. This elegant hand-blown, tall tapering display jar, is a great decorative display piece, when either filled with odds-and-ends, or left empty. It has a hollow footed-base and the lid knob is faceted. There are numerous tiny air bubbles in the glass, along with striations, and other minor imperfections.
Condition: Very good antique condition with minor general wear. Clean and useable. There are fine scratches in the glass and some cloudiness in the glass near the bottom of the jar, as shown in last image. A few very tiny chips along the rim.
Size: 21”in height. 6” in diameter along the base.
