Late 19th century, southern Italian, glazed terracotta preserve jars. Offered for sale as a pair. Simply made, these hand-formed rustic pots appeal for their unpretentious form and neutral tone. They are the perfect component in a wide range of interiors that includes country to contemporary.
Condition: Clean and excellent antique condition including the interiors with minor wear. Please note that the crack present underneath one of the jars, is a kiln-related firing flaw, and is limited to the exterior of the jar. It does not affect the interior, and hence the jar remains watertight and functional. No restoration.
Both jars measure: 7 ¾” h x 6 ½” d. Width including handles is 8 ½”.
