18th century English oak riddleboard of traditional form with lug handle and scored lines in a diagonal pattern. It is richly patinated, and a good example of early English domestic treen. Used for oats and in the making of oatcakes.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with normal age-related wear. No repairs. There are small holes for hanging –one in each corner in addition to the one in the handle.
