Cute as a button bisque head baby doll made in Germany by Hertel Schwab in the early 1900's. Great toddler body has been repainted. He has a closed bisque head with painted on hair with an open mouth with inset teeth. He is wearing a vintage onesie and crocheted cap that may be original to the doll. The cap is nice and gives his bisque head a little protection. He has a pair of replacement leather booties and crocheted trimmed socks.
The doll is 9 1/2 inches long laid out and 7 inches tall sitting.
The head is marked as follows: 2/0 // 151
Condition of Doll for Sale
The bisque head is perfect with no chips, cracks, rubs or repaint. The wax on the eyes is worn and has darkened some. The body has been expertly repainted. There is a chip on one toe. The clothes are in good shape with no foxing, stains, rips or repairs.
Note: For bisque head dolls I use USPS "Special Handling Fragile" service which provides separate handling for packages. The charge is $11.15 which is added to the insurance charge in the Ruby Lane shipping summary. I feel this extra charge is appropriate to insure trouble free shipping of your fragile purchases.
The doll may have wear and flaws seen in used dolls. I try to describe significant flaws in my text and show them in picture. Read the text and examine the pictures to be sure you understand the dolls condition. If you have questions please email me.
