Description of Doll for Sale
I am pleased to present a great antique bisque head made in Germany. This doll was made by J.D. Kestner and is their 164 character face mold. The head has the alphabet mark indicating she was made between 1892-1910. Her head is perfect with working glass sleep eyes. She is on a fully jointed composition body with it's original factory finish and Germany stamp. She is wearing a vintage to antique dress that has been primped up with the addition of newer flowers and ribbons. She also has a newer knit hat and pink shoes that really set off the outfit. She has a replacement wig. Under the dress she has a slip and a pair of antique bloomers. The dress has some holes and thin spots. I have pictures some of the areas of damage. Overall the dress displays well.
The doll is 17 inches tall
The head is marked as follows: C Made in 7 // Germany // 164

Note: For bisque head dolls I use USPS "Special Handling Fragile" service which provides separate handling for packages. The charge is $11.15 which is added to the insurance charge in the Ruby Lane shipping summary. I feel this extra charge is appropriate to insure trouble free shipping of your fragile purchases.
The doll may have wear and flaws seen in used dolls. I try to describe significant flaws in my text and show them in picture. Read the text and examine the pictures to be sure you understand the dolls condition. If you have questions please email me.
