Description of Doll for Sale

This is a beautiful example of a Madame Alexander Hard Plastic Maggie Walker doll from the 1950's. This Maggie Walker doll is wearing the coat, hat and gloves from a 1953 Winnie Walker #1536. Both the doll and the clothes are unmarked. It is possible this is a factory private label store special put together by Madame Alexander. It is more likely Maggie acquired Winnie's coat in a letter mix-up by the dolls owner. In any case it is a perfect example of Alexander dolls from the early 1950's Maggie's walker mechanism works smoothly. Her hair has been restyled and pinned up. She has her original seamed stockings and panties.

The doll is 14 inches tall.
