The Doll Fixer
is now SOLDDescription of Doll for Sale
This is a beautiful 5 1/4 inch all bisque doll made in Germany in the early 1900's. The head has a nice oily bisque finish with well molded cheeks nose and detailed eyes. The lips and chin are also well molded and painted. The doll has a fixed head on 5 piece wired body with painted shoes and socks. The face closely resembles the Simon & Halbig mold 720. She is marked Germany but the wig is glued down so I cannot see the top of the head where the mold numbers for Simon & Halbig are usually marked. In any case because of the detailed molding of the character face I have to assume she was made by one of the top tier German makers.
