Description of Doll for Sale
Here is a large example of an antique bisque head doll made by Kestner (JDK) in Germany in the early 1900's. She is there mold number 171 that is sometimes referred to as Daisy. Technically only the 18 inch version of this doll was called Daisy and was used as a magazine subscription prize in the US. She is 31 inches tall and has glass sleep eyes. She is on an original stamped Kestner composition body which has it's original finish with little to no joint wear. She is wearing an antique dress with matching slip plus antique bloomers. The Dress, slip and bloomers are likely original to the doll. She also has crocheted cape that looks to be antique but could be a vintage addition. She has a replacement wig and a great pair of replacement shoes and crocheted socks. She is well strung and holds a pose.

Condition of Doll for Sale
The bisque head is perfect with no chips, cracks, rubs or repaint. The wax and lashes on the eyes are intact. The body has its original finish with no crazing. There appears to be a repair of chipping around the edges of the neck socket. It is very well done and the socket is structurally sound and works smoothly. There is some foxing of the paint finish on the body with some paint chips on the body joints. The clothes are in good shape with no foxing, stains, rips or repairs.
