Description of Doll for Sale
Here we have a stunning example of a Cissette Queen made by Madame Alexander. She is their catalogue number 971 from 1957. This is the first Cissette queen doll issued and was made using the first Cissette with the triple stitched wig. She has the original hairdo that was used only on the queen doll. She is 9 inches tall and is all original with her crown. jeweled sash, bracelets and shoes. She also has her original slip, stocking and panties. She is wearing a replacement pearl necklace with pendant. It has a metal clasp and metal links holding the pearls and a shell pendant. Sadly the metal has corroded. I can't find any reference to this being a Madam Alexander piece. It is actually better quality than anything Madame Alexander put on Cissette.
The dress is tagged as follows:
"Cissette" // Madame Alexander // New York U.S.A.
