Description of Simon & Halbig 1079 Doll for Sale
for your enjoyment a beautiful example of a bisque head doll made by Simon & Halbig in Germany. This is the Simon & Halbig mold 1079 which was first registered in 1892 and was made through the early 1900's. She is 21 inches tall and has glass sleep eyes with pierced ears and a human hair wig.
She is wearing an antique cotton dress that is factory made and may be original to her. She has two slips and a pair of bloomers They are antique / vintage but do not match. She has pair of vintage leather shoes and knit socks. She is on a fully ball jointed body in it's original factory paint finish.

Condition of Doll for Sale
The bisque head is perfect with no chips, cracks, rubs or repaint. The wax on the eyes is intact but it's color does not match her face complexion. . The body has its original finish with no cracks or crazing,. There are some minor paint chips on the neck socket and the edges of some body joints. The hands have some paint wear and signs of repairs and repainting. The clothes are in good shape with no foxing, stains, rips or repairs.
