Heubach Koppelsdorf 320 Bisque Head Breather Baby Doll
Description of Doll for Sale
Here is a nice baby doll made in Germany by Heubach Koppelsdorf in the early 1900's (1902 - 1907). The baby is 22 inches long and has set glass eyes with a composition body. The baby has a replacement mohair wig. The doll is what is called a breather because it has open nostrils. It also has an open mouth with inset tongue and teeth.
It is wearing an antique pleated and lace trimmed christening gown that fits well and is likely original to the doll. Under the gown is a very light weight lace trimmed flannel slip and diaper cover that is also likely original. The baby also has a pair of replacement knit booties.
The head is marked as follows:
Heubach Koppelsdorf // 320 . 2 // Germany
