Description of Doll for Sale
I am pleased to present a great example of a vintage composition Sonja Henie doll made by Madame Alexander. Sonja has a composition body and head and was made in the late 1930's. Sonya Henie was an Olympic skater who later became a movie star. The doll is marked Sonya Henie. Sonja is all composition and is 18 inches tall. The skates are all original in near mint condition. face painting and lashes are in original mint condition. The dress is untagged and appears to be a very well made replacement. It is vintage red velvet with marabou trim. It is lined with white embroidered satin material. It is as good (if not better) than most Sonja outfits made by Madame Alexander.
The head is marked as follows: The marks are very hard to read and I could not get a usable photo of them.
Madame Alexander // Sonja // Henie
