I am thrilled to be able to have for sale a wonderful example of a vintage Madame Alexander Maggie faced Annabelle doll. This is the 14 inch hard plastic version using the Madame Alexander Maggie face and was made in 1951. The doll was based on a character from the stories of Annabelle written by the beloved television performer Kate Smith. She is all original in near mint condition with her sweater dress black snap shoes, rayon socks with a matching bow in her hair. The sweater is in perfect condition with no runs, holes or pilling. When My husband took the photos he noticed that the bottom snap on the sweater was detached. I have since resewn the detached part of the snap and checked to be sure the stitching on the rest of the snaps is sound. The vintage sweater and dress have never been washed.
The doll is unmarked but the dress has the typical 1950's Madame Alexander tag for Annabelle
Dress Mark: Kate Smith's, "Aannabelle", © Madame Alexander, New York, U. S. A.
