This is a Circa 1940s - 50s beautiful 10" porcelain hand-painted aristocratic Victorian colonial couple, with gold highlights. The pour holes indicate that they were likely made in Japan by Norleans. Norleans was a line of porcelain china and glass products started in 1949 by United China and Glass Company.
The gentleman 10" tall and is wearing a long black waist coat, pink breeches, a neck ruffle white shirt, a curly tail brown wig with a large white bow, and black high-buckle shoes. He is in very good condition, has a rosy complexion with blue eyes with long eyelashes, and a red open mouth smile. He is carrying a gold cane. His base is marked 'JAPAN'. The sweet lady is wearing a full length pale blue and white ruffle skirt, a long loosely flowing pink and white coat, and golden slippers, and is carrying a closed pink, white, and gold parasol. She is in very good condition, has a pale pink complexion with blue eyes with long eyelashes, and a dark pink heart-shaped open mouth smile. Her base is not marked. Both are highlighted with gold.
