This lovely little book, a first edition of Mulvaney Stories, is a collection of Rudyard Kipling stories featuring enlisted men serving in the British Army in India in the 19th century. It is the Henry Altemus Philadelphia first edition (1897). It measures approximately 4-1/2 by 6 inches in size and is 3/4 an inch thick. The cover boards are blue with an elaborate floral design stamped on to the front. The 230 pages are intact with slight foxing. There is Henry Altemus advertising at the back. It is in very good condition although there is some damage on the upper right quadrant of the front cover.
