Victorian Stamped Steel Cloak or Cape Closure Heart Shaped. This stamped steel sash buckle was made between 1880 and 1910. It measures 3 inches wide, 1.75 inches where the closure meets in the middle, and 1.5 inches on the rounded part of the heart. This pretty heart shaped closure can be used as a closure for a belt, sash, cloak or cape. A perfect gift for a bride, seamstress, costume mistress, actress, military reenactment volunteer or anyone whose hobby is sewing. Stamped steel was used to imitate the more expensive cut steel accessories from the Victorian to post WWI Era. This piece is in very good condition.
