19th Century, Haviland, Limoges, Turkey Oyster Plate
Lovely Turkey Oyster Plate. Five Wells featured on this, very collectable, turkey design oyster plate, using the shape of southern raccoon oyster shells to create the turkey design. Beautiful Floral Border mixed with reds, browns, greens, gold and blue. Soft Scalloped Edge.
Haviland & Co. was established by David Haviland in 1842. By 1853, Haviland was the largest Importer of Limoges, Porcelain, to the U.S. It is generally accepted that his finest period was the late 19th Century.
Measures 8 1/4" Diameter.

The condition is very nice. Colors are vibrant on the floral border. There are no chips or cracks...........Gift Quality !
