Endearing Hummel Figurine, " Waiter " , Serving a bottle of " Rhein Wine", on a Red Tray. Perfect Wine Connoisseur.

This particular Hummel was first released in the 1940's. Stamped with the full Bee Mark which dates this between 1940 - 1959. Donut Base ~ Stamped " Germany".

The artist and creator of Hummel Figurines was a Franciscan Sister. Maria Innocentia, ( Berta Hummel ). Goebel was founded in 1871 by Franz Detlev Goebel and his son, Friedrich William Goebel. Sister Maria's art came to the attention of Friedrich Goebel in 1933 and he conceived the idea of translating the children of Berta Hummel's drawings into three dimensions. It took about a year and at the end of 1935 they had forty-six models in the line. Today the Hummel figurines are known and collected all over the world.
