Gorgeous Minton Flow Blue Oyster Plate
Minton Bombay Flow Blue decorated Oyster Plate. Made in England, this exceptionally lovely oyster plate has six wells, a cracker well and a center well for lemon and sauce. The Center Well is ringed by the distinct Minton mold work of raised Daisys.
Minton was founded at Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire, England by Thomas Minton in the year, 1763. The Minton factory is known for their tradition of producing high quality and widely varied ceramics which continues today.
Antique Minton Oyster Plates are extremely valuable, Highly Collectable and Prized. It is said that Minton Oyster Plates is the standard against which all other oyster plates are compared.
This plate has the impressed manufactures mark, " Mintons", which dates this to approximately 1873 - 1881, and the stamped diamond shaped registry. Measures 9 1/4" Diameter.
Featured in the book " Collecting Oyster Plates ", by Jeffrey B Snyder, this exact plate is listed with a value of 900 - 1000.
The overall condition of the plate is very nice. There are no chips or cracks. There is crazing to the front and back of the plate. Please view all pictures as these are part of the description.
