The onion pattern was designed as a white ware decorated with cobalt blue underglaze.
The base Measures 5 3/8" diameter. The top overlaps the sides and measures 6" diameter. 5 3/8" tall. The Wood Lid is hinged. Original hinges. Inside is clean. No chips or cracks. The back has a hole for hanging. Attractive Design with the word " Salt " written on the front.
The box holds about a pound of salt. Can sit on the counter or hang on the wall. The dry heat from the stove would keep the salt granular.
