1940's Hastings, England World War Two Era souvenir real photos - ten "Judges' Little Pictures" miniature sepia-toned tourist views in a gray paper envelope or wrapper, produced by Fred Judge (1872 - 1950), an English photographer of all parts of the British Isles. His company, known as Judges, Ltd., based in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, was a picture postcard manufacturer between 1910 and 1984, during which time the company produced a total of over 12,000 negatives of English views.

Each individual cards measure 3- 1/4" high x 2-1/4" wide.

Fred Judge himself took all the published negatives up to #7700, but in 1921 he took an an additional photographer who also took photos. Cards without a border were introduced during World War Two as a cost savings measure.

CONDITION: In excellent condition. The set is complete. All ten sepia toned photos are like-new condition. The curve to the photo cards is original to the set. The heavy gray paper envelope shows some wear with diagonal tears at the top front corners and small holes on the lower corners.
