Standard-sized c1908 German-made Easter Greeting postcard with brilliantly colored chromolithograph images with heavily embossed gilt trim features dancing children and Easter greeting in English. Basket and Easter eggs are completely covered in gold gilt. The trim on children's clothing and stockings is also gold gilt. Although the postal cancellation has faintly bled through to the front on in the upper left side, it is exaggerated in the photo, and is much less noticeable in person.
"Postcard" is printed in 16 languages on the back. Also marked "Made in Germany". The publisher's logo is a shield with the image of a tree and the letters "ASB" on it, and the number "192" underneath. "A" and "S" are the publisher's initials and the "B" indicates this publisher was located in Berlin. Features also an April 19, 1908, Brooklyn Station NY postmark, and a Newark NJ address. Message is in Polish.
PHOTO NOTE: The photos distort the clarity of the images and sometimes the intensity of the colors. The muted "grainy" look is a distortion. The colors are more vivid and the clarity greater when viewed in person. Minute defects are exaggerated by the scanning process, and many are barely noticeable when viewed in person.
CONDITION: Standard-sized postcard in excellent condition for its age. Colors are exceptionally bright and images very clear. The upper corners each have two light creases, but no tears, and no other corner damage. The postal cancellation has lightly bled through on the upper left side, but is much less noticeable in person than it appears in the photo. The back has light age discoloration. The postmark and message on the back are legible. CONDITION AND ALL FLAWS ARE OBVIOUS IN THE PHOTOS.
