Vintage early 20th C German-made bas relief textured heavily embossed standard-sized postcard with brilliantly hand-colored pink roses and framed rural village landscape scene, and appliqué coraline glass bead highlighting the edge of the rose petals, ribbons and picture frame. The greeting is simply "Best Wishes".
The front-side card stock appears to be a paper mache material , and the border and village image are heavily textured. The address side layout of the card is on a separate flat card stock hinged to the left front-side, opening up for writing a more lengthy message on the inside. The inside is unused.
"Made in Germany" is printed on the back. No publisher's name or logo. Card has a message in English which appears to be a wedding anniversary greeting, and the name of the recipient, but no address, postmark or stamp.
PHOTO NOTE: The photos distort the clarity of the images and sometimes the intensity of the colors. The muted "grainy" look is a distortion. The colors are more vivid and the clarity greater when viewed in person. Stains and other minute defects are exaggerated by the scanning process, and many are much less noticeable when viewed in person.
CONDITION: Standard-sized postcard of heavy paper mache-like stock in excellent condition for it age. Colors are bright and images very clear. NO creases or folds, and almost no margin or corner wear. Light tan cast may be age discoloration. Slightly darker spot stains along the margins on the front, do not involve the central image, and are not distracting in person. ALL FLAWS ARE OBVIOUS IN THE PHOTOS.
