c1915 real photo Manhattan New York City stereo view - looking down on the elevated IRT Sixth Avenue Line (which was closed and demolished in 1939) and station - most likely at Broadway - showing surface trolleys, the entrance to the elevated train, automobiles, and pedestrian traffic attired in period dress. Clearly visible on the center building is the "Hartford Lunch" on the corner and on a business school on the the upper floors. On one of the roof top bill boards with the image of tire is an ad for "Air-in-All" - either a brand of car tire or tire repair kit. Other names may be distinguishable under higher magnification.

3-D EFFECT: The 3-D effect of this New York street scene with trolley and pedestrian traffic in the foreground is pronounced.

PHOTO NOTE: The actual albumen (sepia toned) real photo images are clean, crisp, sharp and in good condition. Curved cards do not always scan or photo well. The close-up view is sharper than the gallery view, and the actual images viewed through a stereo viewer are EVEN sharper than they appear in the scanned images. Tiny surface scratches, nicks and rubbing around the edges are accentuated by the scanning process and are imperceptible in the viewer. The occasional white spot on both views do not reflect damage to the card, but the result of an imperfection in the the negative or dust on the camera lens. There is one is one nick at the bottom of the left view panel which is barely visible, and not distracting.

CARD CONDITION: Very good for its age. Slight scuffs are greatly exaggerated by the scanning process.
