Vintage 1920s small fold-over embossed cut-out children's Valentine card with vivid color lithography of a stylish blonde girl under an appliqué heart-shaped paper lace doily. The paper lace is decorated with two lithographed scraps with Valentine images, one of which is a cherub flying a vintage aero-plane. Paper lace doily can be unfolded and lifted about 1-inch above the lithographed image.
Inside is a printed image of boy and girl in a swing, with a rhyming couplet Valentine message above it. Handwritten signature in black ink.
Marked "Made in U.S. A." on the back. No lithographer or artist identified, but they are both clearly top notch. Card measures 5" high by x 4-1/2" wide, closed.
PHOTO NOTE: Small defects are exaggerated by the scanning process, and many are barely noticeable when viewed in person. The photos also distort the clarity of the images and sometimes the intensity of the colors. The muted "grainy" look is a distortion. The colors are often more vivid and the clarity greater when viewed in person.
CONDITION NOTE: LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE ATTACHED PHOTO. Condition is accurately shown. Valentine is in excellent condition, with wonderful images, and vivid colors. Card has no bends, creases or tears. Paper lace doily is complete and fully attached, with no tears. ALL DEFECTS ARE VISIBLE IN THE PHOTO.
