Vintage 1920s small fold-over embossed cut-out children's Valentine card with vivid Art Deco lithography and colors, an appliqué heart-shaped paper lace doily on the front, and a appliqué scrap with the image of children in a vintage roadster. Paper lace doily can be unfolded and lifted about 2 inches above the lithographed image.
The back features a black and gold leaf heart-shaped Art Deco drawing with a silhouette girl blowing bubbles. Inside is a printed ornate heart with a rhyming couplet Valentine message in the center. Handwritten signature in black ink.
Marked "Made in U.S. A." inside. No lithographer or artist identified, but they are both clearly top notch. Card measures 4" high by x 4" wide, closed.
PHOTO NOTE: Small defects are exaggerated by the scanning process, and many are barely noticeable when viewed in person. The photos also distort the clarity of the images and sometimes the intensity of the colors. The muted "grainy" look is a distortion. The colors are often more vivid and the clarity greater when viewed in person.
CONDITION NOTE: LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE ATTACHED PHOTO. Condition is accurately shown. Valentine is in excellent condition, with wonderful images, and vivid colors. Card has no bends, creases or tears. Paper lace doily is complete and fully attached, with no tears. There is a slight surface crease down the left side of the paper lace only. ALL DEFECTS ARE VISIBLE IN THE PHOTO.
