RARE antique 3-D pop-up Victorian Valentine greeting card, featuring brilliant chromo-lithograph heavily-embossed image - a horseless carriage with two society women in their Victorian Sunday best at the tiller - partially hidden behind a paper lace pop-up frame decorated with embossed flowers and birds, applied to a flower and ribbon decorated heart-shaped card. The first gas-powered horseless carriage was invented in the early 1890s.

Inside, illustrated with mono-chrome golden birds and branches, is a Victorian rhymed poetry Valentine greeting.

Chromo-lithograph color artwork is un-signed, and there is no publisher's mark. Medium-sized valentine measures 6-1/2" high x 6-1/2" wide.

PHOTO NOTE: The photos distort the clarity of the images and sometimes the intensity of the colors. The muted "grainy" look is a distortion. The colors are more vivid and the clarity greater when viewed in person. Minute defects are exaggerated by the scanning process, and many are barely noticeable when viewed in person.

CONDITION: In excellent condition. Any flaws are visible in the photo scan. No tears or creases. Light stains in the lower right section of the paper lace pop-up frame are much less noticeable in person. Back has a few lightly soiled marks, but is otherwise clean.
