Vintage Victorian semi-glossy embossed album scrap die-cut - five baby Easter chicks expectantly standing around and on top of a whole egg (presumably awaiting a fellow chick to hatch) - with vivid hi-quality chromo-lithography and vibrant pastel colors.
Lithography is high-quality glossy image on embossed card stock. No lithographer or artist identified. Die-cut measures 5-3/4" high x 4-1/2" wide.
PHOTO NOTE: This die-cut actually has a semi-glossy finish which does not show in the photo. Small defects are exaggerated by the scanning process, and many are barely noticeable when viewed in person. The photos also distort the clarity of the images and sometimes the intensity of the colors. The muted "grainy" look is a distortion. The colors are often more vivid and the clarity greater when viewed in person.
CONDITION NOTE: LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE ATTACHED PHOTO. Condition is accurately shown. This large-sized die-cut has a semi-glossy finish, and is in wonderful condition for its age. Two reinforced creases on the right edge. Back has scrap album paper and glue residue. ALL DEFECTS ARE VISIBLE IN THE PHOTO.
